Aurora Quarts began with a drawer of specimens and a stubborn conviction that people deserve to know what they are buying. Every piece we sell came out of the ground somewhere, formed over a span of time that makes a human lifetime look like a rounding error. That seems worth saying out loud.
How we choose
We buy in person wherever we can. A photograph flattens a specimen — it hides the depth of an amethyst, the way light moves through a slice of agate, the hairline fracture that means a piece is a study specimen rather than a display one. So we handle what we buy, and we grade it honestly.
What we record
Every item carries the details we can stand behind: its code, its measurements, what it is made of, and where it came from when we know. Where we do not know, we leave the field empty rather than guess. A blank is more useful than a plausible invention.
Who we sell to
Collectors, people buying a first crystal, teachers building a classroom collection, and anyone who wants a gift with something to say for itself. If you are not sure what you are looking at, ask us — that is the part of the job we enjoy most.
